Die Band jamplitude ist seit über fünf Jahren Bestandteil der Tübinger Nachwuchs-Musikszene. Besetzung und Stil haben sich
seitdem mehrfach geändert; die aktuelle Aufstellung besteht seit Herbst 2012.
Im Sommer 2013 planten mehrere Mitglieder, aus Tübingen auszuziehen, und so beschloss man, einige der bisher gemeinsam geschaffenen Lieder für die Nachwelt festzuhalten - eine kleine EP entstand.
